The dream started with me being in a house on the street I used to live. I was living there with my fiance and his friend, Russell, came over to visit. It confused me since Russell hasn't been in our lives for over a year. Then, appeared David, and he was in the house talking with Russell and my fiance. I became even more confused at how him and my fiance formed a friendship. I was also confused by his personality. He was more vibrant, talkative, and outgoing - similar to my fiance. We were all playing my Xbox. Then, I went to switch to a different game but the screen was frozen. I remembered that I accidentally froze it in a previous dream by turning the system off mid game, so I reset the game and system and then it began to work. While we were all playing and they were all talking, the confusion began to make me self conscious. I became more quiet and introverted as I observed David's new behavior. I then became hyper aware of my house and that it smelled like cat. So, while David, Russell, and my fiance went outside to smoke, I started searching for candles, plug ins, and cleaner to make the house smell better. While I was searching for the products, I heard my sister outside yelling. The boys went running out and I heard someone scream "Lilly". When I heard that, I stormed outside angry that she was there and at my house. As soon as I saw her, I could tell she had changed and seemed like a better person but I didn't care. I walked up to her and attempted to hit her. She dodged, smirked, and threw a cake that I dodged. I then was face to face was her. I stabbed her with forks and then I punched her in the face. She was surprised that I would actually hit her and ended up leaving. After that, my sister yelled at me that she seemed like she had changed and I should've given her a chance. I told her no but deep down inside I did regret it and wished I had given her a chance. I held onto this guilt and shame and had a hard time facing David, since I knew he was fond of her. I was also afraid he was going to go running to her as he did in the past. At first, he did contemplate it but then he ended up staying with us in the house. I was confused that he didn't choose her for once and it made me even more self conscious about my decision to hit her. My fiance mentioned to David that if he wanted to, he could go after her and David responded "why would I do that?" which confused me further. It seemed he did care for her but not romantically anymore, like something bad had also happened between them. The dream ended with me coming out of my shell more and going back to the more authentic version of me. The version my fiance and David know. I was dancing and being weird and when I was around David, I would get a bit self conscious but his actions would reassure me the way my fiancé's words do.
